After much hype and anticipation, Sony Pictures have finally released the official movie trailer for the upcoming musical film ‘Sparkle’, starring Jordin Sparks, Cee-Lo Green, Mike Epps, and of course, the late Whitney Houston. In the lengthy two-and-a-half minute clip, fans can get a glimpse of the storyline, as well as get a sample of Whitney’s Hollywood comeback.
The film serves as a remake to the 1976 classic about a rising star who struggled with her fame and drug addiction. This would have served as Houston’s return to acting after 16 years since ‘The Bodyguard’.
‘Sparkle’ will hit theaters this summer on August 17th.
