Chrisette Michele succeeds in capturing classic images and sounds with her freebie treat for fans “Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation.” Inspired by the iconic images of Audrey Hepburn, Michele pulls off a mixture of vibing tunes, each cool to the touch. Class mixed with the that Chrisette Michele sass, “An Audiovisual Presentation” offers a hearty lyrical, musical, and vocal interlude before the release of her “Better” LP in mid to late 2013.
Headed by the previously released “Rich Hipster,” “Charades,” “Your Fair Lady,” and “Can the Cool Be Loved?,” the tape offers five more tracks. “Pray Me Well” asks for well wishes while stuck in uncertainty. “Favela Chic” mixes multiple languages in a low-key flow over a sinister, yet-sexy track. “Love in the Afternoon” playfully states that she has no qualms about getting lovey during the daylight hours, and the reggae-feel of “Kudurista” will motivate even the most complacent of individuals to take action and life by the horns.
