Usher and his wife Grace Miguel are calling it quits after three years of marriage, and the news came as no surprise because of all the allegations the R&b superstar has faced over the last few months. The couple released a joint statement, insisting, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives.” It was alleged in 2017 that Usher was spreading herpes to various women who came forward accusing the Grammy award-winning artist.
What better way to embark on a new phase of life and deal with a breakup than to unleash “Confessions III.”
For the most part, even during the alleged accusations, Usher lived a very private life outside of what had been told by media sources. Being that he’s a legendary R&B artist, it’s hard not to inquire what he’s been going through emotionally the last year or so, and what better way to free yourself than to get lost in his music?
Here are seven reasons why Usher needs to drop “Confessions Part III” right now:
1. Curious minds want to know why? (More like nosey, but can you blame them?)
During a visit to The Breakfast Club earlier this year, super-producer Jermaine Dupri insisted the ‘Let It Burn’ hitmaker is not burning. Usher was acquitted of the allegations that were pressed against him, but the couple is mutually splitting, so why? Usher has always kept his life private, even in very public relationships with TLC’s own, Chilli, and ex-wife Tameka Foster. Surely, a song or two or three would supply answers.
2. Fans love classics!
‘Confessions’ and ‘Confessions Part II’ are classics, so why not add some new era style to the collection? Most R&B coinsurers are aware that the previous ‘Confessions’ collections were not based on Usher’s life, but instead about his producer Jermaine Dupree. JD had the opportunity to live vicariously through Usher, creating some hot singles that are still reminiscence today. What about bringing back the loving & the heartbreak of R&B? It is without a doubt that Usher is a top R&B artist and an OG to many R&B artists in the game to date. Who wouldn’t want to hear Usher belt out some groans from his recent heartbreak, giving fans something to vibe to during their times of sorrow.
3. When in doubt, sing it out!
Usher hasn’t released an album since 2016’s ‘Hard II Love,’ and he’s genuinely missed! That album included the crazed single “No Limit,” featuring fellow Atlien, Young Thug.
4. New papers, new ink = New tracks
Not only is Usher preparing to ink some new papers (divorce papers that is) he’s inking his body first. Usher is turning on a new leaf, inking his chin with a bizarre tattoo. ‘Confessions III’ can possibly explain the depth behind his new tattoo and how he plans to spend his new life. Usher teamed up with celebrity tattoo artist, Doctor Woo for some fresh ink. During the tattoo procedure, Woo inks Raymond under his chin while Drake’s new single, “God’s Plan,” serenades in the background. What is this tattoo for? What does it symbolize? Possibly a new start since 2017 dragged the singer through the mud. Check out the new Usher Raymond ink. Never the less, to see the new ink post-breakup, Usher will need to keep his chin-up!
5. Team Usher, The Comeback!
Usher had a tumultuous 2017 and to be back in the limelight again with more bad news, even though it’s more subtle this time, it’s still a hard pill to swallow. It would be great to see Usher back in the spotlight for something good. Much like Chris Brown’s 2009 incident, fans will have to sit around to see if Usher’s career will survive all of the turmoil, but hey Usher, Singersroom is rooting for you. After all, legends never die!
6. Tour Season Amongst Us
That’s right, music lovers are awaiting tour season, and with it sneaking up, Usher should be in the mix. What better way to get over a breakup than to travel the world and do what you love! Surely arenas will sell out.
7. Emotional Rollercoaster
Over the years, Usher has stayed current with music featuring top artists in the evolving industry including Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, T.I., and Ludacris. While doing so, his albums have taken us on an emotional rollercoaster. A relatable, enjoyable, and emotional rollercoaster. Usher’s music exudes what it means to be in love, how hard it is to let go, and gives flip perspective when you let go you let go, and being back on the market. With that being said, Usher don’t you think it’s time for another emotional rollercoaster?
So what do you think? JD & B.Cox this go-round can we get ‘Confessions Part III,’ Usher’s rendition of the what’s going on personally? Well, while we wait, the classics will have to suffice, but Usher fans are waiting!
