We are sad to report that WorldStarHipHop founder Lee “Q” O’Denat has died.
According to TMZ, the urban media mogul died in his sleep on Monday night; he was 43. An autopsy is scheduled for later today, but sources are attributing his passing to a heart attack.
Q founded the popular hip-hop website in 2005. The site started with mixtapes before diversifying with hip-hop videos, fight clips, and other extreme visuals.
In an interview with The New York Times in 2015, Q credited his rise to notoriety to hard work.
“They think it’s luck,” he said. “I don’t believe in luck. It’s hard work. Luck is when you get a scratch-off lotto and win five bucks, man. That’s luck.”
He is survived by three young children.
