When it comes to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, rapper Nelly has never been short when it comes to making his city shine. Ever since he became a national star, he has been unifying and uplifting the state and this new documentary, "Made in St. Louis," which is a part of the 'Budweiser Made in America' series, will make you love the man and his city even more.
In the below clip, Nelly, who never left his home after securing his fame and fortune, opens up about his love for St. Louis and why he chose the "party" musical route.
“I felt like as long as I stayed in St. Louis, the light would stay in St. Louis,” says Nelly about his “people town.”
The doc also features personal stories from St. Louis rappers Tef Poe, Nick Menn of Doorway Collective and Nelly’s nephews Shad and Tab of JGE Retro.
