Although Confessions had hit singles after hit singles, one almost didn’t make the project, and that’s the Lil Jon-produced, crunk-infused single "Yeah." The beat had to be changed on the record because Petey Pablo’s "Freek-A-Leek" had the same production. "At times I wonder if it would have made a difference if the beat was never changed. Nobody knew it was going to be that huge of a record," says Usher.
