The one misconception surrounding Confessions is that most people thought "Confessions Part II" was loosely based on Usher’s personal life and his public breakup with TLC’s songstress, Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas. Yes, Usher admitted that he was unfaithful to Chilli but "Confessions Part II" wasn’t Usher’s story; it was actually Jermaine Dupri sharing his personal relationship with a woman. It was a moment of reflection for the producer but the story telling made it so real. Actually Usher said in many interviews that he was inspired to write certain songs on the album based on his friends and family's personal experiences.
