Gucci Mane is looking at some hard time

The “Icy” rapper is facing 20 years in prison after federal authorities slapped him with two counts of possessing a firearm as a felon.

The charges stem from two separate incidents in September (2013). Real name Radric Davis, the rapper was found in possession of a firearm and just two days later he was nabbed carrying a different gun. In both incidents, he reportedly acted erratically and made threats to police and his attorney, according to the federal prosecutor.

As a result, he was detained by cops on suspicion of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon. Since the arrest violated his probation, he was sentenced to jail and is currently serving six months behind bars.

Each charge of carrying a firearm as a felon carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

You may know Gucci Mane as the successful rapper and entrepreneur, but he is currently facing some serious legal trouble. He has been charged for possessing firearms and could potentially face up to 20 years behind bars. This isn’t his first time being in trouble with the law either.

The charges stem from two separate incidents, one in Atlanta and one in New York City. In both cases, Gucci Mane was found to be in possession of a firearm, which is illegal for him due to his prior felony convictions. The consequences of these charges could have a significant impact on his career and personal life if he is convicted.

The Atlanta Incident: Gucci Mane’s First Charge

Gucci Mane’s first brush with the law came in Atlanta, where he was charged for possession of a firearm – a charge that would set off a string of legal troubles for the rapper.

The incident happened in September 2013 when police officers found him carrying a loaded Glock pistol and marijuana. Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was taken into custody and later released on bond.

This arrest marked the beginning of a series of run-ins with the law for Gucci Mane. Just one month later, he was arrested again for allegedly assaulting a fan at an Atlanta nightclub.

In March 2014, he pleaded guilty to two counts of battery and received six months in jail. While serving his sentence, he faced additional charges including throwing a cell phone at his lawyer and possessing contraband in prison.

Despite these legal issues, Gucci Mane continued to release music and remained popular among fans. He even managed to record an album while still behind bars. However, his legal troubles were far from over as he faced more charges upon his release from prison.

The New York City Incident: Gucci Mane’s Second Charge

As you stroll down the busy streets of New York City, it’s hard to imagine facing the same troubles as Gucci Mane. But for him, it seemed like everywhere he went, problems were sure to arise.

In 2013, he was charged with firearm possession after police found him in possession of a loaded handgun. The incident occurred when officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon searching the car and finding the weapon on his person, they arrested him on the spot.

This wasn’t Gucci Mane’s first run-in with the law, but it was certainly one that would have serious consequences. If convicted of this offense, Gucci Mane could face up to 20 years behind bars. It was a harsh reality for someone who had already served time in prison before.

But despite these charges looming over him, Gucci Mane continued to make music and perform for his fans while awaiting trial. Only time would tell what fate awaited him in court.

Conclusion

Well, it looks like Gucci Mane’s legal troubles are far from over. With two separate charges of firearm possession, the rapper could be facing up to 20 years behind bars.

It’s a tough situation for anyone to be in, let alone someone with such a high-profile career and reputation. But regardless of how you feel about Gucci Mane as an artist or individual, it’s important to remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law.

So while we wait for more updates on this case, let’s hope that justice is served fairly and appropriately for all involved parties.
