A disjointed crowd of balding middle age men, soul sisters and music executives stood shoulder to shoulder waiting for U.K. singer Daley to set foot on stage to perform in Los Angeles for the first time. As soulful crooner approached the stage, he squeezed by concert-goers meeting his three-piece band on stage at the Viper Room. With a minimum amount of words, he introduced himself, setting the expectations that the night would be strictly about crooning. In one hour, he mixed cuts from his three EPs, 'Those Who Wait,' 'Alone Together' and 'Broken'. In addition, he added a medley of covers from Chaka Khan, Maxwell, and Usher, enchanting the audience.
To close the night, he attempted to misdirect the crowding by saying he never performed "Alone Together" with Marsha Ambrosius, only moments later the former Floetry singer stepped on stage.
