With songs including "The Monster," featuring Rihanna, Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" has shot straight to the top of the coveted Billboard 200 albums chart.
Listed as the number one album in the country as of Wednesday, Eminem's album is also the second best selling album of the year, in terms of first week sales.
"The set, released on Nov. 5, sold a bigger-than-expected 792,000 copies in the week ending Nov. 10, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Last week, industry sources had forecast it to bow with around 750,000," reports Billboard.
Eminem's album is only second to Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience," which bowed earlier this year with 968,000 copies sold during its first week of release in March.
Overall this is Eminem's seventh consecutive chart-topping album and has debuted stronger than his last album, "Recovery" (2010, 741,000 copies).
