Lil Mama is excited about the soon to premiere TLC biopic "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story."

Appearing on Access Hollywood this week, the "Lip Gloss" rapper talked at length about researching and preparing for her role as Left Eye.

"She was a rebel and that’s what I enjoy most about my character because it was the most challenging part to know when to be super sweet Left Eye and then when to let it take you to that level," Lil Mama shares in the clip below.

"CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" airs October 21 on VH1.

Are you curious about Lil Mama’s involvement in the upcoming TLC biopic? Well, she recently sat down for an interview and shared some insights on her role in the film.

Not only that, but she also delved into TLC’s rebellious nature and how they have impacted music over the years.

In the interview, Lil Mama discussed how honored she was to play the role of Left Eye in the biopic. She revealed that it was a dream come true for her as a fan of TLC growing up. She also talked about how much research went into preparing for the role and how she studied Left Eye’s mannerisms and style to portray her accurately on screen.

As someone who became famous through music herself, Lil Mama clearly understands just how influential TLC were and still are today.

Stay tuned to find out more about what else she had to say about their legacy!

Lil Mama’s Role in the TLC Biopic

You’re gonna love Lil Mama’s portrayal of Left Eye in the TLC biopic. She really did her research and brought a rebellious energy to the role.

In an interview with Billboard, Lil Mama shared that she studied Left Eye’s interviews, performances, and even her handwriting in order to fully embody the late rapper’s spirit. She also revealed that she spoke with Left Eye’s family members and close friends to gain a deeper understanding of who she was as a person.

Lil Mama went above and beyond to ensure that she accurately portrayed Left Eye on screen. She even learned how to play the guitar and rap left-handed (just like Left Eye) for certain scenes in the film. The dedication paid off, as viewers have praised her performance for its authenticity and raw emotion.

Overall, Lil Mama’s role in the TLC biopic is not one to be missed. Her commitment to researching and capturing Left Eye’s essence shines through in every scene she appears in. You’ll feel like you’re watching the real deal when you see her on screen – it’s truly impressive!

TLC’s Rebellious Nature and Impact on Music

TLC’s rebellious spirit shook up the music industry, leaving a lasting impact that still resonates today. They weren’t afraid to speak their minds and challenge the status quo, which made them stand out from other girl groups of their time.

Their unique style and sound inspired a new generation of artists who followed in their footsteps. Their message of empowerment and self-love was groundbreaking at the time, especially for young women.

TLC’s lyrics tackled societal issues like body image, relationships, and sexuality with honesty and vulnerability. Their music gave voice to those who felt unheard or marginalized, making them a powerful force in pop culture.

Despite facing criticism and backlash for their provocative image and lyrics, TLC never backed down from being themselves. They remained true to their values and beliefs while continuing to push boundaries in the music industry.

Through their rebellious nature, they paved the way for future generations of artists to express themselves freely without fear of judgment or censorship.

Conclusion

So there you have it, you’ve learned a lot from Lil Mama about her role in the TLC biopic and how she researched Left Eye to accurately portray her.

It’s clear that TLC’s rebellious nature and impact on music is something that still resonates with fans today, and Lil Mama did an excellent job of bringing that to life on screen.

Overall, it’s inspiring to see someone like Lil Mama continue to push boundaries in her career and take on new challenges. Who knows what she’ll tackle next, but one thing’s for sure – she’ll do it with passion and determination just like Left Eye and the rest of TLC did during their heyday.
