Even though the actual season is over, "American Idol" continues to make headlines. Following the official departures of Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, over five dates have been canceled on the anticipated "American Idols Live Tour."
Over the weekend 19 Entertainment broke the news, scrapping a total of nine dates on the trek, including shows in St. Louis, Detroit and Las Vegas.
"Due to production scheduling changes, the American Idol 2013 Tour will now begin on July 19th and go through the summer until August 31st. The Idols look forward to performing in 30 venues across the country," organizers said in a statement.
Though they have cited scheduling issues, there are rumors that ticket sales were not great, following low viewership and ratings for the controversial season (12).
In addition to the season 12 winner, Candice Glover, finalists Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb, Burnell Taylor, Lazaro Arbos, Angie Miller, Curtis Finch Jr, Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Paul Jolley and Aubrey Cleland are slated to perform.
The following dates have been canceled.
June 29 St. Louis, MO Chaifetz Arena
June 30 Kansas City, MO Sprint Center
July 2 Minneapolis, MN Target Center
July 5 Detroit, Michigan Joe Louis Arena
July 6 Rosemont, IL Allstate Arena
July 8 Tulsa, OK BOK Center
July 10 Broomfield, CO 1STBANK Center

In other news, Candice Glover is in the studio recording for her debut album.
Tweeting about her progress, Candice joked about living and driving in Los Angeles recently.
"Studio :) I think it's safe to say this is one of my favorites :)," wrote Glover. "Meetings, interviews, and studio today :)"
While in the studio, she also had a chance to meet Tyrese (Gibson) and take a picture.
As previously reported, Candice Glover's debut album is due for release in July.
