Yesterday news broke that “Love & Hip Hop: New York” costars Joe Budden and Consequence fought during the taping of the VH1’s reality show’s reunion. Confirming the news, Rich Dollaz called up TT Torrez at iPower 92.1 to discuss the details of the fight as well as his current relationship status with Erica Mena.
“It absolutely happened, Cons ran up on him, I think Cons punched Joe or smacked him in the back of the head or punched him in the back of the head and then Tahiry hit Cons and by then security had broke it up, or whatever, whatever. I think it all stems back to something that happened a while back, interview maybe? Something like that. And then last night after the reunion, obviously, there was a big fight outside, on the way home.”
Most of the interview however, concentrated on him complicated relationship with his “LAHNY” costar, Erica Mena. He talked about helping her to make her music dreams come true, giving her “Where Do I Go Away” record away to Olivia, Mena’s rumored past affair with DJ Envy, and their current status.
“We cool, like we cool, said Dollaz about their current relationship status.” I think the show has and always will, these type of shows always put a strain on a relationship, because we’re living our lives in the public eye, and then Instagram, and Twitter, and Facebook, and everybody’s beating you up every Tuesday morning, you know what I mean? Just telling you what you did wrong last night, and then your looking at my sideways like ‘why would you put me in that position?’ when really we’re just living our lives in front of the world. That’s just the reality of it, you know what I mean? So is it hard? Yeah. Has it been hard? Yeah. I don’t know if we’re going to stay together, that’s a good question, but for now, we’re just trying to get through this season and see what happens after this.”

It’s been a wild ride for Love & Hip-Hop stars Joe Budden and Consequence. From their days as labelmates to their infamous reunion fight, the two have had a turbulent relationship over the years. Now, Rich Dollaz has confirmed what we all thought was true – that there really was a physical altercation between them! In an exclusive interview with Vibe Magazine, Dollaz talks about the situation and reveals his current relationship with Erica Mena.
The drama between Budden and Consequence began when they were both signed to Def Jam Records in 2006. After disagreements on creative direction caused tensions to rise between the two of them, things came to a head at their notorious Tribe Called Quest concert in 2011. Rumors circulated that a physical confrontation between the artists had taken place but it wasn’t until now that anyone involved in the incident spoke up about it.
Rich Dollaz is finally ready to set the record straight. He recently opened up to us about his thoughts on this long-running feud and how he views his relationship with Erica Mena today. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our exclusive Q&A session with him as he touches on these topics and more.
Background On The Conflict
The conflict between Joe Budden and Consequence has been a topic of discussion in the hip-hop community for years. The two have had various altercations, culminating with an altercation at New York City’s Summer Jam festival in 2012 which left fans shocked. Since then, there has been speculation that the two may never reconcile their differences and would remain on bad terms forever.
However, recent events suggest that this might not be the case after all. Rich Dollaz recently confirmed that he was present during a reunion fight between Joe Budden and Consequence – one which resulted in both men shaking hands afterwards. This revelation sparked excitement among fans who hope to see some kind of reconciliation between the two rappers.
This news also comes as a surprise considering Rich Dollaz’s current relationship with Erica Mena, who used to date Joe Budden before their highly publicized breakup last year. Despite any potential implications it could cause for his relationship with Mena, Rich Dollaz appears to still hold no ill will towards either rapper and is willing to help them find common ground.
Rich Dollaz’s Perspective
Rich Dollaz was recently asked about the reunion fight between Joe Budden and Consequence. He confirmed that he had personally witnessed it take place, and said both men were able to shake hands after they had finished talking. “I think at some point, people have to realize that life is bigger than whatever beefs or issues you may have,” Rich Dollaz commented.
He also added that although his relationship with Erica Mena could be impacted by his involvement in this situation, he doesn’t believe it will change anything between them. “Erica knows I’m a fan of all three artists involved here – she’s well aware how deeply rooted my connection is with hip-hop culture,” he said. “So, if there’s any issue arising from this particular instance, we’ll work through it like adults.”
Despite the potential risks associated with helping reconcile two rival rappers, Rich Dollaz is still determined to do what he can to ensure peace prevails in the hip-hop community. His willingness to stand up for what he believes in serves as a reminder of how much respect he has for the genre itself.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Rich Dollaz has opened up about the Joe Budden and Consequence reunion fight. Both men had a long-standing history of animosity towards each other, but it seems they were able to put their differences aside in order for them to move forward. While he could not go into detail about what exactly happened, Dollaz did confirm that the two are on better terms now than before. He also touched upon his current relationship with Erica Mena, revealing that although there have been some disagreements between them recently, things are still going strong overall. It’s great to see these hip hop icons putting their past behind them and moving forward, as well as Dollaz and Mena continuing to make strides together.
