Blu Cantrell
Blue Cantrell hit ’em up style when she first came out with her hit single “Hit ‘Em Up Style (Oops)” in 2001. After such huge feedback from her single, which peaked at number two on the Hot 100 chart and became the number one most added record to radio in the country, breaking legend Elvis Presely’s record, it seemed with a hit single and a powerful voice, she was to be the next big thing in pop and R&B but we quickly learned that was not going to be the case.
After releasing only two studio albums, after 2003, Blue Cantrell was never to be heard from, vocally, again. From recording studio to the stage, Cantrell tried her hand in acting. She appeared on a few TV shows and a musical play with Lisaraye and Kenya Moore called Gossip, Lies, and Secrets in 2007.
Last year, she released a free download for “Get the F**** Out” on Twitter and is said to be preparing to release music sometime this year.
