Philly native Meek Mill, real name Robert Williams, slapped the police department in his city with a new lawsuit for an alleged wrongful detainment.
According to the suit, Meek claims his Range Rover was pulled over and he was detained without cause or justification on October 31, 2012, which made him miss a promotional appearance in Atlanta, Georgia. He was not charged for any violations, but remained in jail the entire night (9 hours).
Meek is seeking unspecified damages for civil rights violations, false imprisonment, invasion of privacy and civil conspiracy.
