Write a Letter
But don’t post or show anyone. This is basically to get everything off your chest. (However, consulting with a professional therapist is ok too, if you feel the need). Write down everything you want to say to the person who’s hurt you, like you’re speaking directly to their face. Don’t hold back. Make sure you mention somewhere that you’re letting go and moving on. Then if you want (and if you wrote the letter on paper), (safely!) burn the letter as a symbol of finality.
