A made-for-TV film about one of the highest-selling female groups of all time, TLC, has begun production in Los Angeles. VH1 is currently casting those to play the roles of members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. The two surviving members, T-Boz and Chilli, are taking part in the film’s development as consultants and executive producers.
Written for the small screen by Kate Lanier, whose credits include “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Set it Off,” and “Beauty Shop,” the still-untitled film is scheduled to begin filming in early 2013.
With biopics, it’s always interesting to see what will be shown in the film, what will be left out, and what little-known facts fans will learn.
