Usher is really excited about becoming a coach on NBC’s hit reality singing competition “The Voice.”
Speaking out at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend, Usher explained what he really likes about the show.
“I’m really excited about it. It’s the type of show that I feel really sets up an artist and makes it about what matters most first: the voice. Everything else comes afterwards in terms of the mentors; that’s what gives the personality, gives the opportunity to be an artist who will excel and transcend culture and also be able to tell an incredible story in music, Usher shared with MTV. “So I like being able to be at that place. I love being a mentor.”
As previously reported, Usher will join Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton when “The Voice” returns for a Spring 2013 season. He is also set for a European tour dubbed the “Euphoria Tour.” That trek kicks off in January.

For those who have followed Usher since the beginning of his career, it’s no surprise that he still continues to make major moves. His latest move? Joining The Voice as a judge and coach! And now, Usher is finally opening up about why he decided to join this popular singing competition show. He explains how he feels connected to each of the contestants and how much passion they bring to the table. Get ready for an inside look into his exciting new venture on The Voice!

The multi-platinum artist has had numerous successes in his music career—from Grammy Awards to sold out tours all over the world. Now Usher is taking on an entirely different challenge: mentoring aspiring singers on NBC’s hit show, The Voice. With its rotating panel of superstar coaches, The Voice has become one of TV’s most popular reality shows; so what led Usher to sign on as a coach?

In a recent interview with People magazine, Usher opened up about what drew him to The Voice. “I feel like I can connect with these individuals,” said the R&B singer. “These are people who have dreams and aspirations just like me when I was coming up.” It’s clear that Usher wants to use his platform to help others reach their full potential – something many fans will appreciate watching from week to week!

Reasons For Joining

It was a no-brainer for Usher to join the cast of ‘The Voice’—the show provides an opportunity to mentor young talent and share his own music experience. He has made it clear that he is passionate about giving back, so working on the singing competition seemed like the perfect way to do just that.

Usher expressed his excitement in joining the show by saying “I’m anxious to bring my perspective, my knowledge and gifts as well as learn from this incredible group of coaches.” The singer had previously been involved with other reality shows but wanted something more meaningful. With ‘The Voice’, Usher gets to draw from years of personal experience in the industry while helping others reach their goals.

He also sees himself as someone who can help shape younger generation’s musical tastes. By being part of the show, he hopes to encourage people — both contestants and viewers alike — to explore different genres and sounds. Joining ‘The Voice’ gives him a platform where he can influence aspiring artists and remind them why they chose music in the first place: “to spread love among our listeners”.

Benefits Of Being On The Show

Usher is not only using ‘The Voice’ as a platform to mentor and influence upcoming talent, but also to gain exposure for his own career. Being part of the show’s star-studded cast gives him an opportunity to reach new audiences while remaining true to himself. He explained that being on the show allows him “to stay connected with my fans in ways I never thought were possible”.

By joining such a popular series, Usher has been able to draw more attention to his music projects and reignite interest in some of his older work. The singer appreciates how ‘The Voice’ provides him with a chance to promote himself and showcase what he does best: making great music.

On top of all this, Usher gets a unique experience working alongside other knowledgeable coaches like Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend who have already made their mark on the industry. Being part of the show has given him an amazing chance at self-discovery—as well as inspiration from these talented individuals—which will help shape future successes.

Conclusion

I’m honored to be part of such an iconic show like The Voice. It’s a great opportunity for me to share my love and passion for music with the world. As an artist, being on this platform allows me to reach new audiences and expand my fan base.

The Voice has also opened up new creative opportunities for me; I’ve been able to collaborate with some amazing artists that I wouldn’t have had the chance to work with otherwise. Plus, it’s given me a platform to promote my own projects which is invaluable in today’s industry.

Overall, joining The Voice was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because it has allowed me to grow as both an artist and performer. On top of that, it’s enabled me to inspire young people everywhere who dream of having their voices heard across the globe. All things considered, it really is a win-win situation!
