Cee Lo Green’s transition from rapping to singing has propelled his career, first with the success of Gnarls Barkley then his solo album ‘The Lady Killer.’ He capitalized on his fame by broadcasting his brand into households as a coach on reality television series, The Voice.
The “Crazy” hitmaker will continue with television projects by accepting a deal with NBC to develop a family sitcom. “As part of the pact, NBC is circling a multi-camera comedy loosely based on Green’s life balancing his career and home life as a producer and recording artist from Sony Pictures Television and Happy Madison,” said The Hollywood Reporter.
Green secured the deal through his production company, Emerald Productions.
In addition, Green has a supporting role in the upcoming 3-D animated film ‘Hotel Transylvani,’ which will hit theaters on September 28, 2012.
