Rihanna has snapped up her first Teen Choice Award as an actress.
The “Talk That Talk” singer won Choice Movie Breakout for her role in the blockbuster movie “Battleship” Sunday night.
While she was not in attendance at the ceremony, which was hosted by Demi Lovato, she will be receiving a coveted surfboard for her accomplishment.
Following its debut at the U.S. Box Office, “Battleship” has grossed $64,870,610. Internationally the film has raked in $236,650,220 according to BOM.
As previously reported, Rihanna has been cast in future films including ‘The End of the World’ and ‘Happy Smekday.’ She is also rumored to be lined up for a role in ‘The Fast and the Furious 6’.

Rihanna has done it again! The award-winning singer and actress just won the Teen Choice Award for her role in the movie Battleship. Fans of Rihanna everywhere are rejoicing, as this is yet another major win for the star. Her success with this film proves that she can do anything from creating chart-topping music to dominating box office numbers. Read on to learn more about how Rihanna earned her latest accolade.

For those who don’t know, Battleship was released in 2012 and was based on a classic board game of the same name. In the movie, Rihanna starred alongside Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård as they attempted to ward off an alien invasion by sea. Despite mixed reviews from critics, audiences loved it and propelled it to be one of the biggest films of that year – thanks in large part to Rihanna’s performance.

To show appreciation for her hard work and talent, fans voted overwhelmingly for Rihanna at the Teen Choice Awards and awarded her with ‘Choice Movie Actress’. This honor serves as confirmation that she isn’t slowing down anytime soon; she continues to conquer both music and Hollywood alike. With such tenacity and drive, there is no doubt that we will see even greater things from Rihanna in years to come!

Overview Of Rihanna’s Career

Rihanna’s career has been a rollercoaster of success. She first came to prominence in 2005 with her debut single, “Pon de Replay,” which quickly became a global smash hit. Since then, Rihanna has gone on to become one of the most successful and influential artists of all time. Her music is renowned for its catchy hooks and innovative production styles that have made her an icon within popular culture.

Rihanna’s accolades are numerous and impressive; she has won eight Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and fourteen MTV Video Music Awards amongst others. In addition to this, she has achieved critical acclaim through her acting roles in major films like Battleship (2012) and Ocean’s 8 (2018). Recently, Rihanna was honored by receiving the Teen Choice Award for her role in Battleship.

This latest honor recognizes Rihanna for her outstanding achievements as both an artist and actress over the years. It also serves as a reminder of how far she has come since being discovered back in 2005 – from small beginnings to international superstardom!

Impact Of ‘Battleship’ On Pop Culture

Rihanna’s Teen Choice Award for Battleship is a testament to the impact that this movie has had on pop culture. The 2012 science fiction action film, directed by Peter Berg, was an adaptation of the classic board game and featured Rihanna in her first major acting role.

The success of Battleship brought new attention to both Rihanna and the source material from which it was based. It also inspired numerous other adaptations, including video games and comic books. For example, Marvel Comics released a five-issue series based on the film in 2013, with art by Marcos Martin and script by Brian Reed. The series focused on exploring characters’ backstories as well as providing additional insight into the world of Battleship itself.

This recognition of Rihanna shows how she is not only an influential artist but also an important cultural figurehead who deserves further acclaim for her accomplishments within entertainment. Her award win highlights the significance of Battleship—not just as a box office hit but also as a groundbreaking piece of cinematic history that continues to inspire today’s creators and audiences alike.

Conclusion

Rihanna is an undeniable force in the entertainment industry. Her many awards, including her recent ‘Teen Choice’ win for Battleship, are a testament to this. She has worked hard to build an impressive career and continues to be one of the most successful singers of our time.

It’s amazing how far Rihanna has come since she started out as a young artist with few resources at her disposal. In addition to her music success, she has also become known for being a role model who speaks out on important issues like education and gender equality. Not only that, but her film debut in Battleship was incredibly popular among fans and critics alike.

The impact Rihanna has had on pop culture cannot be understated. With every new project or venture she embarks upon, it seems like there’s something new to learn from her—whether it’s about creating art with purpose or living life without limits. We can all take inspiration from Rihanna’s story and use it as motivation to achieve great things in our own lives.
