Chris Brown – Fortune (Buy)
Perfect timing for Chris Brown as he releases his fifth studio album 'Fortune,' after winning two trophies at the BET Awards over the past weekend. The highly anticipated project started building momentum late last winter when Brown dropped the single "Strip," a record that pulled his fans closer to him. He balanced that sensibility with the Pop dance single "Turn Up the Music," a more diverse record, which topped the UK charts. As C-Breezy evolves musical, he is adding more rap verses, not just on mixtapes, but on his albums as well.
Even with continued controversy connected to his name, Brown's ability to focus on his craft above all else has affirm his position as a fan favorite. For his upcoming album, he featured several artists like Nas, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, as well as artists signed to Chris Brown Entertainment (CBE); Kevin McCall and Sevyn.
Chris Brown's "Fortune" album is not about his fortune, in terms of money, it's more about being "blessed" to do what he does as an artist. Brown says "I wanted Fortune to be a blessing."
"I wanted Fortune to be the blessing of having it. It's not money or wealth for me. It's basically the blessing of doing it. I'm fortunate enough to do it," said Brown.
Lolah Brown – Black Lily
