Jason Derulo might be trading in his music career for reality television (at least for now). The “Don’t Wanna Go Home” singer has landed judging/mentor seats on not just one, but two reality competition series.
First up, Derulo will appear on the E! network series ‘Opening Act’ in July. Working alongside Nigel Lythgoe, Derulo will act as part of an artist development team that includes Pete Wentz, Martina McBride and Nick Cooper.
Premiering July 9, Opening Act gives aspiring talent a chance to open for top acts including Nicki Minaj, Brad Paisley and Gym Class Heroes.
Later this year, Derulo will also appear on ‘Everybody Dance Now,‘ a series similar in format to ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ Due to air in Australia, the series will also feature Kelly Rowland as a judge.
While his turn to reality television is news, Jason Derulo vowed to take a break from music last year. In discussing his last album, “Future History,” Derulo expressed plans to turn to movies.
“After this album, I will dive full throttle into movies for a while. I will ultimately take a break from music,” said Derulo.
Watch out for Jason Derulo when ‘Opening Act’ premieres Monday, July 9 at 10 pm on E!

Jason Derulo has traded in his music career for a new venture into the world of reality TV. The three-time Grammy nominee and multi-platinum selling artist is set to star in two upcoming shows, both sure to make waves on the small screen. Fans have been excitedly awaiting this announcement, as it marks a major shift from Derulo’s usual wheelhouse.

The first show, “America’s Most Musical Family,” will be produced by Nickelodeon and hosted by none other than Jason himself. This talent competition series follows 12 diverse and talented families vying for the chance to win an incredible prize package: $250,000 cash, recording sessions with top producers in Los Angeles, and a spot performing at one of Nick’s biggest events of the year! It looks like Derulo will bring his signature flair and energy to each episode—and we can’t wait to watch him switch up roles from musician to host.

In addition to hosting duties, Jason will also judge FOX’s new singing competition series “The Masked Dancer.” Here he’ll join panelists Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken), Paula Abdul (American Idol), Brian Austin Green (90210) and Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical). Contestants—all celebrities disguised in elaborate costumes—will compete against each other while their true identities remain hidden behind colorful masks until the big reveal at the end of every episode. We expect plenty of fun surprises throughout this high stakes dance battle!

Overview Of Jason Derulo’s Career Transition

Jason Derulo is a multi-talented entertainer who has been in the limelight since his breakout song “Whatcha Say” was released in 2009. Throughout his career, he has had numerous chart-topping singles, collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, and even ventured into television and film roles. Now, he’s making an unexpected move: trading music for two reality series on Quibi.

The first show will follow him as he embarks on a 30 day challenge to reinvent himself as an artist, while the second show documents him creating new songs based off challenges from fans around the world. This shift away from traditional methods of releasing music shows just how far Derulo is willing to go to stay relevant and current in today’s ever-changing landscape of entertainment.

Derulo isn’t stopping here though; it looks like this change might be only the beginning of what could prove to be a fruitful venture into uncharted territory. With both shows premiering soon and more surprises likely down the road, people can expect big things from Jason Derulo going forward – especially when it comes to staying ahead of trends!

Details Of The Upcoming Reality Series

Jason Derulo’s two upcoming reality series will be highly anticipated by fans around the world. The first show, titled “30 Days to Change”, is set to follow Derulo as he embarks on a 30 day journey of self-discovery and reinvention. He’ll take part in different activities such as dance classes, yoga retreats, and even meditation – all with the goal of pushing his boundaries as an artist.

The second show focuses more on creating music based off challenges from fans worldwide. This interactive format allows viewers to get involved by submitting their own personal stories or ideas for songs that they want to hear Jason sing about – adding a unique twist to how music can be made and enjoyed today.

With these new projects, it looks like Jason Derulo isn’t slowing down anytime soon; instead he’s using this opportunity to showcase his incredible range of talents while also staying ahead of the curve when it comes to innovative entertainment concepts. It’ll certainly be interesting to see what else he has up his sleeve!

Conclusion

The career transition of Jason Derulo from music to reality television is an exciting development. After a decade-long successful musical career, he’s now trading in his microphone for two upcoming series on Quibi and MTV. He’ll be working with some big names to bring viewers engaging content that will have them wanting more.

Derulo is taking advantage of this new opportunity by having full creative control over the projects. His enthusiasm for the challenge shows how dedicated he is to making these series as entertaining and impactful as possible. With his passion for creating quality entertainment, it’s sure to give audiences something special.

It’s no surprise that Derulo has made such an impressive move into the world of television production – after all, it seems like there’s nothing he can’t do! Whether you’re a fan of his music or not, it looks like we can expect great things from him in terms of reality TV. We look forward to seeing what kind of stories he shares with us through these two upcoming shows!
