Nicole Scherzinger has found her new calling as one of the new hosts for the US version of Simon Cowell’s “X-Factor.” After months of speculation, Fox television announced on Saturday that the Former Pussycat Dolls band member will co-host the upcoming TV singing show with British TV presenter Steve Jones.
Scherzinger will divide her time between the new gig and her solo music career. She recently released her U.S. debut single “Right Here,” which features rapper 50 Cent.
Cowell’s reality show is set to air in September on Fox, but Scherzinger will be present for the auditions when they kick off Sunday in Los Angeles. The shows winner will receive $5 million cash and a recording contract.
British singer Cheryl Cole and record producer Antonio “L.A.” Reid has been confirmed as judges, while Paula Abdul, who worked with Simon on American Idol, is reportedly in final talks to join the crew.
