Despite calls for his elimination, American Idol’s Michael Lynche lives on another week ! Deemed a front-runner early on after a performance of Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work,” Lynche ended up in the bottom two Wednesday saved only by Aaron Kelly’s lack of votes. Kelly, who performed Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” earlier in the week, said “I’ve had a blast” shortly after being eliminated. Like Siobhan Magnus, the journey is not completely over for Kelly as he is booked for the American Idol tour, which kicks off this summer. American Idol resumes next week as the top four contestants sing songs of the cinema with help from Grammy Award winner Jamie Foxx.
