Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb rocked the "American Idol" stage with standing ovation worthy performances during the first live show of the season Wednesday in Hollywood.
Back for a second run at the coveted title and recording contract, Candice Glover performed a rendition of Shirley Bassey's "I Who Have Nothing" and blew the judges away.
"Just know that if we had more time, we'd still be standing and clapping ourselves. I love you so much," said Keith Urban. "When Shirley Bassey did that she had such a command. You had that effortlessly. It was crazy. You never let the audience pull you out of your zone. You're incredible baby."
Closing out the night, Amber Holcomb performed a rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This," leaving Mariah Carey near speechless.
"Hashtag pow! That is all I can say," said Mariah Carey.
