Ten finalists secured coveted spots on “American Idol” during Wednesday’s elimination round. Nabbing a spot not just in the top ten, but on the annual American Idol summer concert tour, the top ten watched one of their own go home. Paige Miles, who failed in her attempt to cover Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” and earned no fans on the judging panel, was revealed as a bottom-three contestant up for elimination along with Tim Urban. While the judges could have saved her, they opted not to. “Regardless of your singing, you’re going to end up going home tonight,” Simon Cowell told Miles. “It’s got to a point where it’s not working.” Taking the elimination in stride, Miles said “bad song choices” contributed to the elimination. With Miles out that leaves Lee Dewyze, Tim Urban, Crystal Bowersox, Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, Casey James, Didi Benami and Siobhan Magnus in the top 10.
