Kandi Burruss is pressing forward with life after a tumultous 2009 that included joining ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ the recording of “Tardy For The Party,” the death of an uncle and the unfortunate and untimely death of her onscreen co-star and at one point, fiance. Teaming up with close friend Peaches Chin, Burruss has opened a boutique called ‘Tags’ in Atlanta, Georgia. Focusing on affordable men’s and women’s clothing, ‘Tags’ features a mix of party and daytime dresses, trendy t-shirts and a bevy of button down shirts and jackets for men. In a departure from the norm, sixty percent of ‘Tags’ is dedicated to male clientele. “Atlanta is a fashion town. Anybody who loves fashion will love this store,” Burruss told the Atlanta Journal Constitution recently. “There are no places for men to shop in this area. We felt we had something different to offer.” ‘Tags’ is now open in Smyrna, just outside Atlanta.
