Natalie âThe Floacistâ Stewart, one half of the duo Floetry is spreading her wings with a new project entitled âFreedom..xx,â due early 2009. âFreedom xxâ becomes Stewartâs first official album release under her independent label, Spirit Mother Music and second release since the much-talked-about disbanding of the group Floetry. Stewartâs effort will be preceded by a poetic and conceptual album entitled âThe Offering..xxâ which will be a preview of sorts for the âFreedom.xxâ release. Both albums according to Rap Up, are to be packed with mind-opening soul, R&B and new age music flavored by the singerâs personal background. âI had to find a new language, to be able to articulate the experiences that I was havingâa language that recognizes the reality of change without seeking an avenue of victimization. And I used that new language to create this album,â says Stewart. Floetryâs final album âFlo’Ologyâ was released in 2005.
