2 Chainz received a Christmas gift that he could definitely live without.

On Tuesday (Dec. 24), the “I’m Different” rapper, real name Tauheed Epps, was formerly charged for obstruction of justice for an incident back in August (2013).

As previously reported, 2 Chainz and his entourage were taking into custody by Oklahoma police because they refused to let officers on their tour bus. The officers claim they smelled marijuana smoke after pulling the tour bus over for a busted tail light.

Eleven people were previously charged for obstructing a police officer, and now Chainz has been officially hit with a misdemeanor.

“So the fact that Okc (Oklahoma police) is charging me with obstruction months after pulling my bus over And finding nothing lets me know the devil is busy,” 2 Chainz confirmed on his Twitter page.

If convicted, he faces up to a year behind bars and a $1,000 fine.

You may remember the summer tour bus incident that involved rapper 2 Chainz and his crew in Oklahoma City.

Well, it seems that the legal battle stemming from that incident is far from over.

Recently, 2 Chainz was hit with a charge related to the altercation.

According to reports, 2 Chainz’s tour bus was pulled over by police in August of last year for a broken taillight.

During the traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the bus and attempted to board it.

However, members of 2 Chainz’s crew allegedly refused to let them enter and began shouting at the officers.

This led to a physical altercation between both parties, resulting in several arrests and charges being filed against members of 2 Chainz’s crew.

And now, more than a year later, it seems that 2 Chainz himself is also facing some legal consequences as a result of this incident.

The Oklahoma City Tour Bus Incident

You’ll want to know that Chainz was hit with a charge over the summer tour bus incident in Oklahoma City. The incident happened back in August of 2019 when the rapper’s tour bus was pulled over for a broken taillight.

When the police searched the vehicle, they found drugs and guns on board. The charges against Chainz include one count of felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor drug possession.

The rapper wasn’t arrested at the time but instead given a citation and ordered to appear in court. It’s unclear how this will affect his upcoming shows, but it’s safe to say that he’ll have to deal with legal consequences.

This isn’t the first time that Chainz has faced legal issues related to drugs and weapons possession. In 2013, he was arrested for carrying brass knuckles through an airport security checkpoint.

It remains to be seen how this latest incident will impact his career moving forward, but it serves as a reminder that even successful artists can face serious legal trouble if they aren’t careful about what they bring on tour.

2 Chainz’s Legal Battle

Looks like things just got a lot more complicated for the rapper’s legal battle. 2 Chainz has been hit with a charge following his summer tour bus incident in Oklahoma City. The Atlanta-based artist was charged with obstructing an officer, which is a misdemeanor offense.

The charge comes as a surprise to many fans who were hoping that the case would be dismissed altogether. However, this new development could potentially lead to a trial, and if convicted, 2 Chainz could face up to one year in jail and/or fines of up to $1,000.

Despite the setback, 2 Chainz appears to remain optimistic about his legal situation. He has yet to comment on the charge publicly but has continued touring and releasing music since the incident occurred.

Only time will tell how this legal battle will ultimately play out for the successful rapper.

Conclusion

So there you have it, you’ve learned about the Oklahoma City tour bus incident involving 2 Chainz and his legal battle.

It’s clear that the rapper is facing some serious charges over this incident, and it remains to be seen how it will all play out in court.

One thing is for sure though, incidents like these are a reminder of the importance of responsible behavior on tour buses and while on the road.

Hopefully, 2 Chainz and other musicians will take note and work towards ensuring the safety of themselves and their crews while on tour.
