We don’t know about you but we can hardly wait until Kanye returns to SNL again! His performances were unforgettable and had us dancing all night long. From the looks of things, there are more memorable moments in store for Kanye fans around the world.

Performance Overview

Kanye West made a powerful statement last Saturday night when he took the stage on SNL to perform his newest single, “Black Skinhead” and another unreleased song, “New Slaves.” After weeks of speculation as to what material would be performed by Mr. West, it was clear that these two songs were chosen for their political message and strong lyrical content.

The performance began with Kanye’s hit single, “Black Skinhead.” The track started off with a heavy synth beat before transitioning into its signature chant-like chorus with the line “black skin head!” As soon as the lyrics kicked in, Kanye got the audience energized and clapping along to the beat. His energy onstage was unparalleled; every lyric felt like an anthem as he commanded the attention of everyone in the room and kept them captivated throughout.

After finishing up “Black Skinhead,” Kanye transitioned directly into “New Slaves”. This new song features more socially conscious lyrics than any of his previous releases and immediately grabbed people’s attention due to its controversial subject matter. With lines such as “My momma was raised in an era when/Clean water was only served to the fairer skin”, Kanye delivered yet another powerful performance that left no doubt regarding his opinions on modern society.

Reception And Criticism

The response to Kanye’s SNL performance was overwhelmingly positive. Fans and critics alike praised the rapper for his boldness in tackling such sensitive topics, as well as his raw energy on stage. The stark contrast between “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves” also earned him a great deal of respect, with many calling it one of his most impressive performances yet.

However, not everyone had kind words for West’s set. Some argued that while he may have made an impactful statement about race and society, it wasn’t enough to overshadow the fact that neither song is particularly enjoyable or musically innovative. Furthermore, other artists criticized him for what they saw as overly-aggressive behavior throughout the performance – which some felt detracted from its overall message.
