Usher had been vilified by some after he was given primary custody of his children just weeks ago. Now, looking back at the entire situation, and perhaps the pain that he and his ex-wife have experienced, he says no one won.
“It is very nasty,” he shares with Oprah Winfrey. “There is no winner in any fight.”
As previously reported, Usher will reveal a lot in his soon to air feature on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
Among the many things he will address, including allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a bridesmaid in his wedding, Usher reveals why he believes his marriage failed.
“I always felt like maybe we weren’t ready,” he says in video below.

“Oprah’s Next Chapter,” featuring Usher, airs Sunday, September 16 at 9 p.m. on OWN.

Usher has been in a long and difficult custody battle with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster Raymond. After months of fighting for the rights to their two children, Usher admitted that “there is no winner.” This heartbreaking announcement comes after years of back-and-forth court proceedings between both parties. It’s clear that this tragedy has taken an emotional toll on both Usher and Tameka. In this article, we’ll explore how the couple got here and what it means for their future co-parenting relationship.

The fight between Usher and Tameka began shortly after they filed for divorce in 2009. Since then, they have gone through extensive legal battles to determine which parent would gain primary custody of their two boys – Naviyd Ely (9) and Usher V (10). The hearing process dragged out over several years until finally coming to a close last month when Usher made the shocking admission about there being no winners in this case. He said, “It was a very necessary thing for me to understand as well…I think we all came together understanding there’s really no victor or loser here because at the end of day I’m still fathering my children; she’s mothering her children.”

This admission from Usher marks an important milestone in this lengthy saga between him and Tameka. Although neither party emerged victorious, hopefully these words mark the beginning of a more amicable co-parenting relationship between them going forward. Read on to learn more about the history behind this custody battle and what steps are next for each side moving forward.

Details Of The Custody Dispute

Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster have been embroiled in a contentious custody battle for years over their two young sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. The dispute has been especially bitter as the star’s former spouse seeks full legal and physical custody of her children.

The couple had previously reached an agreement out of court that granted them joint legal custody but allowed Usher to take primary care of the boys. However, this arrangement failed to bring an end to the ongoing disagreement between the pair, leaving both parents frustrated with the situation.

In a recent interview, Usher admitted that there is no winner in this difficult situation, saying “It’s not about who wins or loses; it’s about our children”. He went on to express his hope that he and Tameka can eventually reach a resolution outside of court so they can move forward with raising their kids together amicably.

Usher’s Response To The Outcome

Usher’s response to the ongoing custody battle has been one of understanding and acceptance. He recognizes that there are no winners in this situation, and is committed to finding a resolution that works for both him and his ex-wife.

In an interview with People Magazine, Usher commented on how difficult it is for parents to be pulled into legal disputes over their children: “It’s hard navigating through these waters. It’s not about who wins or loses; it’s about our children.” He went on to say that he hopes they can find a way to work together despite their differences so their sons can have two loving and supportive parents in their lives.

Ultimately, Usher believes that putting the needs of the kids first should be the priority—not winning a court case. He understands that any outcome will involve compromise from both sides, but if everyone takes responsibility for ensuring the boys’ wellbeing then they may eventually be able to come up with a solution that allows them all to move forward peacefully.

Conclusion

I. Summary of Usher’s Emotional Response
Usher has been dealing with a long and emotional custody battle over his two sons, Naviyd Ely Raymond and Usher V. After the court ruling, he admitted that there was no winner in this situation but rather “heartbreak” for everyone involved. He expressed feelings of being helpless as a father who wants nothing more than to be able to provide love and guidance to his children. Though disappointed by the outcome, Usher recognizes that it is what’s best for his boys moving forward.

II. Reflection on Custody Disputes
Realizing how difficult it must have been for Usher to go through such an ordeal, I can only imagine how hard similar situations are for other parents who find themselves in similar battles. It’s not easy having to make decisions about whose care will be most beneficial for one’s child – especially when both parties want the same thing: what’s best for their child.

III. Respect For All Parties Involved
It takes a lot of courage to put aside personal differences during these kinds of disputes, which is exactly what we should all strive for in order to keep our children safe and well-cared-for going forward. No matter how heated or painful things get during negotiations between parents, ushers words remind us that ultimately “there is no winner” – just heartache shared by those trying their hardest to do right by their kids in any way they can.
