Sugar Daddy – a well-to-do usually older man who supports or spends lavishly on a mistress, girlfriend, or boyfriend.
In May (2012), there were rumors that legendary actor/comedian Eddie Murphy and 106 & Park co-host Rocsi Diaz were dating. I think its safe to say that these two together is maybe something close to a sugar daddy relationship or at least sugar daddy-ish. Diaz was 5 years old when Murphy’s classic film “Coming To America” came out. Photos have consistently been surfacing, showing a connection. Is it different when famous guys play the sugar daddy role? Is he a sugar daddy if she has money? Well, regardless of what is the dynamic of their relationship, it still raises questions.
The term sugar daddy has been thrown around a lot lately. There are websites that encourage young ladies to date older affluent men. This dynamic has been something that is not new. You will more than likely see an old fat man holding an hour glass shaped, olive skinned bomb shell. It’s almost an accepted way of life. However, when do we draw the line in regards to age and influence? Also when can it be considered prostitution and what is prostitution now? Has the definition changed or have our beliefs changed. I guess we can give the sugar daddies a pass because the definition of prostitution is the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money
