Newly signed to My Block Records, the same label that represents Mary Mary and Kelly Price, Soul/R&B singer JoiStaRR launches her buzz campaign with the release of her new mixtape ‘Magic Monday.’ The set is led by the soothing cover of Lauryn Hill and D’Angelo’s “Nothing Even Matters” featuring newly signed Cash Money crooner PJ Morton.
JoiStaRR honed her talent touring as a background singer for more than five years with Kanye West. In addition, her skills as a gifted songwriter was confirmed with credits on songs for Chris Brown, Estelle for Slash, Mario, Brandy and Mary Mary.
The L.A. native will release her debut album ‘Magic’ in early spring.
