Prince’s longtime friend and collaborator, musician/drummer Sheila E., wrapped up the 2016 BET Awards with a bang in her tribute to the late music icon.
Backed dancers and a full band, Sheila put her all into the funky performance; her iconic drumming skills are STILL on point and she even slid across the stage at one point. She left everything on that stage!
Prince’s ex-wife, choreographer Mayte Garcia, also took part in the tribute through dance (she used to be a dancer for Prince before marrying the musician in the 90s).
Prince would be proud.
