It's been a hectic and time consuming for Grammy award winning artist, Monica.
She recently finished her 22-city tour for her new album, Code Red, which is out now. The all-star vocalist had some down time from her busy schedule on Dec. 16th to attend a special dinner that Pynk Magazine hosted at the Cue Gallery in downtown Manhattan. The multicultural magazine honored the songbird for all of her contributions in entertainment and to have a first listen of the Code Red album. Pynk Magazine arranged this special event with the help of Mielle Organics, Chic Chat, Hair Candy, and Celfie Cosmetics.
Prior to Monica's arrival, guests ate scrumptious food, including orange zest salmon, coconut shrimp, roasted French lamb, and Cajun fried chicken with cinnamon waffles with fruity cocktails. Guests took pictures in the media photo booth and networked with other individuals in the industry.
Once Monica arrived at the event, she was completely ecstatic. Guests were elated to be in the same room with the singer. Other than her magnificent singing, Monica is known for her flawless beauty and warm heart.
Monica also shared some fond words about Code Red, her love and admiration for music, she acknowledging her fans' support after 20 years, and her pledge to keep R&B music alive in 2015.
"I'm from Georgia, I like to turn up but we need another side of what music can be, you need the music aspect," said Monica.
