It's Grammy time and everyone wants a piece of the musical magic. This year Lincoln Motor Company was presenting sponsor of the ESSENCE's 5th Annual Black Women in Music celebration. Held in West Hollywood at the newly opened 1 OAK Nightclub, the 2014 ESSENCE Black Women honored English singer Emeli Sande'.
The ESSENCE Black Women in Music, is in its fifth year and it plays an important role in highlighting the accomplishments of women of color in the music industry. This event has grown to be an important part of the pre-Grammy experience; celebrities who attended included Tank, Michele Wlliams, Ledisi, Stacy Barthe and more.
The Grammys and events surrounding it help to acknowledge artists that have tiredlessly work to entertain the masses. Emeli Sande is one of those individuals.
