Jessie J's hotly-anticipated duet with R&B diva brandy has sprung a leak. Entitled "Conquer The Word," the empowering and uplifting record sees both great vocalists singing about overcoming life's obstacles.
"The Brandy duet was a dream. It was on my dream list. I had the honor of meeting Brandy and working with her at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party, where myself, Monica and Brandy were doing the Diana Ross tribute. Obviously, sadly, that night Whitney passed. We never performed, but I was able to maintain a friendship with Brandy and Monica…. I wrote "Conquer The World" and was like 'this would be an amazing duet with Brandy," Jessie J shared in a recent interview with That Grape Juice.
"When I got it I started crying. It was a lot. She's just Brandy. She's amazing," Jessie J adds about the final product.
Jessie J's forthcoming album 'Alive', the follow up to her 2011 debut 'Who You Are', boast 13 tracks and features appearances from Becky G, Brandy, Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal, and production from Darkchild, Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly.
The set will arrive September 23rd.
