This past Sunday (August 25), the Singersroom sponsored R&B Spotlight, held at New York's S.O.B's, was a special moment for R&B fans. The two headlining acts on the bill, Tweet and Glenn Lewis, are artists who have remain true to R&B, and that was evident in their delivery to event-goers.
Following performances from indie talents Sanura, Allen Simms, Amma Whatt, Patricia Mytime, and Bria Marie, who was introduced by her veteran production team Carvin & Ivan, Tweet took the stage and performed some of her biggest hits, including "Oops (Oh My)". Glenn Lewis closed out the night with his 2002 hit "Don't You Forget It" and his new single "Can't Say Love."
In addition to the performances, all artists answered music related questions live, curated by Singersroom's Chief Editor and event co-host Gary 'Jus Music' Gentles. Both Glenn and Tweet spoke about their upcoming studio albums and thanked fans for continuing to support them.
RnB Spotlight continues to celebrate the melodic sounds of your favorite national and local R&B talents. Over the years, Chart-topping superstars have headlined shows including Carl Thomas, R.L. of 90’s R&B group, Next; Meelah of 702, Kenny Lattimore, Musiq Soul Child, Marsha Ambrosius, Mario Winans, and Sisqo, lead singer of multi-platinum group Dru Hill.
