When D. Woods did not appear at the Danity Kane reunion lunch it sparked the question, what is she doing with her career? The answer is — D. Woods is a co-star in the Robert Jackson stage play Rebirth! The former Danity Kane member is cast along side Lynn Whitfield, Q Parker and Thomas Miles.

The theatrical performance "explores the concepts of faith vs religion and how they can be used to both oppress as well as uplift the human spirit."

Rebirth! will open on May 30th at the FOX Theatre in Atlanta, GA. Visit Rebirth! to purchase a ticket.

It’s been over a decade since Danity Kane disbanded, but former member D. Woods has found her footing as a solo artist and is now ready to reveal a new musical rebirth she’s co-starring in! From the bright lights of Los Angeles to the small stages of North Carolina, D. Woods has had quite an interesting journey — one that fans of hers have followed closely. But what does this unique collaboration entail? Let’s take an intimate look at how D. Woods stays solo while also taking part in something special with her own twist on it.

Danity Kane was known for their infectious pop music and millions of record sales worldwide during their early 2000s run, so expectations were high when they initially broke up back in 2009. Each band member decided to pursue different paths after the split, but none more intriguing than D. Woods’ solo career. She released several singles throughout 2010 before officially releasing her debut album “My Name Is Woodivia” months later – which earned rave reviews from critics all across the country.

Now, almost 11 years later, D. Woods is ready to unveil something truly remarkable: A collaborative project featuring herself and other talented artists meant to give listeners a whole new perspective on artistry through modern hip hop sounds combined with old school vibes. Get excited – we’re diving into just why this project is not only important for contemporary music culture but also what it means for D.Woods’ continued success as an individual artist!

Career Highlights

D. Woods has remained a solo artist since her time in the girl group Danity Kane, and is now experiencing an exciting new chapter in her career as she co-stars in the musical rebirth of a classic Broadway show. In addition to starring roles on television shows, D. Woods’s music career highlights include successful singles such as “2 The Bottom,” “Gimme What You Got,” and “Lights Out.” She also released two mixtapes titled Daybreak and Nightfall that have been praised by critics for their lyrical creativity and bold production.

In recent years, D. Woods has ventured into acting with small roles on hit TV series including Empire, Nashville, This Is Us, and Dear White People—all while continuing to make music behind the scenes. Her hard work paid off when she was cast in the leading role of Lola Montez for a revival of Cole Porter’s award-winning musical Kiss Me Kate at Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) in Houston this past summer. It was here that D. Woods showed off her spectacular singing voice as well as her diverse range of talents from dancing to comedic timing.

The experience further demonstrated how far D. Woods has come since first stepping onto the scene over 10 years ago —she continues to thrive both onstage and offstage…a true testament to her resilience and dedication!

New Album And Tour

Having completed her triumphant run in Kiss Me Kate, D. Woods is now channeling this energy into the creation of a brand-new album and accompanying tour for 2020. Her latest project will feature an eclectic mix of soulful R&B tunes and rap verses that reflect on everything from heartbreak to self-empowerment. She’s already released singles like “Lonely” and “Don’t Wanna Go” as previews of what fans can expect when she takes the stage during her upcoming shows.

D. Woods has also been using her platform to empower other women by collaborating with many female artists such as SZA, Kamaiyah, and Noname among others. Additionally, she recently announced the launch of her new lifestyle blog which focuses on topics ranging from fitness to motherhood—all while encouraging readers to live their best lives!

As she turns a corner onto yet another chapter of her career, it’s clear that D. Woods is continuing to make waves across multiple fields; between albums, tours, television appearances, collaborations with fellow creatives, and more —she stands steadfast in showcasing her unique talents across all platforms available to her.

Conclusion

I’m so inspired by d. woods’ musical rebirth! After years of being a part of the all-girl group Danity Kane, she has gone solo and is now co-starring in a new musical project. Her career highlights paint her as a unique artist with an impressive talent for songwriting and performance.

Her new album “The Expansion” is accompanied by a tour that will bring her music to life on stage. It’s been amazing watching her grow into this independent powerhouse over the past few years, and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us. She’s truly found strength in her own light – something we could all strive towards.

There’s no doubt that d. Woods has created something special with this latest project, inspiring people around the world with her creativity and passion for music. If you’re looking for some great tunes from an amazing artist, look no further than d. Woods!
