This week, new R&B albums have been released by The Weeknd and soul crooner Anthony David.

The Weeknd – Trilogy (Universal Republic)

Two years after releasing his ‘House of Ballons’ project, Canadian artist The Weeknd has signed a record deal with Universal Republic to drop a compilation of his three mixtapes entitled ‘Trilogy.’ The new record features three new songs along with updated tracks from his three mixtapes. The Weeknd’s brand of Emo&B, showcased on his mixtapes, has had an undertone and mood which reflects the “partying life.” This hypnotic sound would work well with the drowsy voice of Lil Wayne or the emotion-driven style of Drake. Only time will tell where this mystifying crooner will end up.

Anthony David – Love Out Loud (Entertainment One)

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Anthony David follows up his 2011 release, ‘As Above So Below’, with the new ‘Love Out Loud’ LP. On his fourth studio album, the mood is lighter and upbeat, while his lyrics remain purposeful. “on my other [albums] I had these things in mind that I wanted to do. But this one was just kind of free. I just wanted to do something light” David told CL. His sentiment was easily reflected on the 11-track album, especially on “So Jaded.”

Music fans rejoice! The Weeknd has released a new album, Trilogy, and Anthony David’s ‘Love Out Loud’ is also on the shelves. Both albums have been highly anticipated by many music lovers across the globe and they are now available to purchase or stream. Get ready for a thrilling ride through these two artist’s unique sounds as you explore their latest releases.

The Weeknd’s long-awaited trilogy features three studio albums – House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence – all remastered with additional songs added in celebration of its 10th anniversary. It takes listeners on an emotional journey into his world that brings together R&B, hip hop, alternative pop and electronica. Fans will get to experience some classic melodies alongside unreleased gems from his early days as well as newly recorded material from the past decade.

On Anthony David’s seventh studio release ‘Love Out Loud’, he explores themes of love and encourages us to embrace our inner strength while reflecting on joyous moments throughout life’s journey. His soulful sound combines elements of jazz funk, blues rock, neo-soul and gospel giving this album a truly unique feel that fans won’t want to miss out on! With both artists’ passionate approach to making music it promises to be an exciting listen for anyone who loves good quality tunes.

Overview Of Albums

The Weeknd’s Trilogy and Anthony David’s ‘Love Out Loud’ are two of the most highly anticipated albums of 2021. Both artists have been releasing singles in anticipation of their full-length projects, but now they’ve finally dropped these must-hear records. In this overview, we’ll be taking a closer look at what each album has to offer.

Trilogy is a compilation album by The Weeknd that was released on March 5th, 2021 and serves as an updated version of his 2011 mixtape House Of Balloons. This project includes all three of the original mixtapes from his trilogy: House Of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes Of Silence – plus five bonus tracks. Fans can expect some old favorites such as “Wicked Games,” along with newly remastered versions of classic songs like “High For This” and “The Knowing”. With over twenty tracks totaling almost two hours worth of music, this is sure to bring back nostalgia while introducing new material for fans to enjoy.

Anthony David also recently put out a brand new record titled Love Out Loud on April 2nd, 2021 that features twelve R&B soulful cuts. He stays true to himself musically here and offers up heartfelt stories about love and heartache throughout the tracklisting. His distinctive voice brings life into every song he sings and it’s clear from start to finish why he’s so beloved among listeners worldwide. From uptempo bops like “Stay Here Forever” to slower jams like “Ain’t Gonna Let Go” featuring India Arie, there’s something for everyone on this album – no matter your taste in music!

Both The Weeknd’s Trilogy and Anthony David’s Love Out Loud are definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some fresh tunes to add to your collection. Whether you’re nostalgic for older sounds or searching for something modern yet timeless, both albums will satisfy any listener who gives them a spin.

Tracklist And Reviews

Now that we’ve gotten an overview of each album, let’s dive into the tracklists and reviews. The Weeknd’s Trilogy features twenty-four total tracks and five bonus cuts, while Anthony David’s Love Out Loud boasts twelve songs in total.

Beginning with The Weeknd’s project, fans have been raving about how great this collection is. All three original mixtapes are included – ‘House Of Balloons’, ‘Thursday’ and ‘Echoes Of Silence.’ Every song has something special to offer; from the vibrant energy on ‘The Knowing’ to the soulful vibes on ‘Wicked Games’. Not only does he bring back fan favorites but also introduces new material like bonus cut ‘Until I Bleed Out,’ which further showcases his lyrical talent and knack for creating captivating soundscapes.

As for Anthony David’s LP, critics praise its ability to capture listeners with a mix of upbeat jams and mellow ballads. His signature vocal style shines through on every track, such as the uplifting single “Stay Here Forever” as well as “Ain’t Gonna Let Go” featuring India Arie. He isn’t afraid to tackle topics like heartbreak either—as evidenced by heartfelt tunes like “4Evermore”—which makes for an honest yet enjoyable listening experience overall.

Both albums have earned rave reviews since their release due to their unique styles and strong production quality. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering these artists now, they both provide compelling musical journeys worth exploring!

Conclusion

I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to review two amazing albums by Canadian artists The Weeknd and Anthony David. The Trilogy album is a compilation of three chart-topping albums released earlier in The Weeknd’s career, making it an absolute must-have for any fan of his music. Similarly, Love Out Loud by Anthony David is an incredible collection of soulful R&B tracks that will surely be on repeat in my home all year long.

The production quality on both albums is top-notch with each track being unique yet still cohesive as a whole. I was particularly moved by the emotion behind every song from both artists – regardless if they were singing about heartache or joy, their lyrics always struck me as genuine and sincere. Both collections serve as great examples of artistry created by talented individuals who put so much effort into crafting something special for their fans.

In conclusion, I highly recommend these albums to anyone looking for new music from some incredibly gifted musicians. From heartfelt ballads to upbeat bops, there’s something here for everyone! If you’re already a fan of either artist then you won’t want to miss out on this release – trust me!
