Last Thursday, Keep A Child Alive’s 7th Annual Black Ball was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. This spectacular event featured performances from some of music’s biggest stars, Usher and Alicia Keys. Hosted by funnyman Seth Meyers, this star-studded event honored those who have dedicated their lives to helping children living with HIV/AIDS around the world. In addition to honoring individuals for their services, funds were also raised to help continue the mission of Keep A Child Alive.
The event began with a red carpet walkway filled with celebrities dressed in glamorous attire. From Hollywood heavyweights such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jay Z, to fashion icons Daphne Guinness and Naomi Campbell, there was no shortage of famous faces lined up for photographers’ lenses. As guests entered into the ballroom they were treated to a night full of powerful performances that highlighted some of today’s hottest hits as well as classic anthems from years past.

I was so lucky to attend the 7th annual Keep a Child Alive’s Black Ball. It was an incredible night filled with amazing performances and celeb sightings. Usher and Alicia Keys were both in attendance, much to everyone’s delight. They performed several of their hit songs, as well as some new ones that hadn’t been released yet. Everyone had such a great time!
The event raised money for the cause, which is always a big win. Every little bit helps when it comes to helping those who are less fortunate than us. And though I didn’t make any huge donations myself, I am proud to have played even a small part in supporting this worthy charity.
