3. Rihanna
From “Pon De Replay” to “Rude Boy”…. Rihanna’s style has been questioned and drawn comparisons to Fefe Dobson and Kelis.
While Rihanna claims to be a trendsetter, here’s what Dobson and Kelis had to say about her style in comparison to their own….
“She is supposedly a fan of mine,” Dobson told HoneyMag. “I try to take it as a compliment. It gets a little much when she starts getting the same tattoos as me but overall I just want people to separate the image and listen to the music.”
As for Kelis, she says “expect her to copy”….
“The only other person I would give credit before me is Pepa. Other than that, I expect them to copy me,” Kelis told HoneyMag in a recent interview when asked about Rihanna and Cassie. “What else are they supposed to do? They’re young. God bless them.”
