Before he signed a deal with VH1 with hopes of finding love via reality television, Ray J inked his first record deal with Elektra/Asylum in the mid 90s. In 1997 Ray J made his debut, with a cameo from Brandy, in the ‘Set It Off’ soundtrack featured hit “Let It Go” (pictured).
Before the music however, Ray J debuted on television, with the help of Sinbad, at the age of 8.
