Birthdays draw everybody to celebrate, so it was no surprise that music heavyweights came out to commemorate Jermaine Dupri’s 20th Anniversary of So So Def. Unexpected performances by Mariah Carey, Nelly, Ludacris and Jay-Z flabbergasted the crowd along with a night of acts from So So Def’s past and present roster including Xscape, Jagged Edge, Kris Kross, Bow Wow, Da Brat, BoneCrusher, Dondria, Monica, Dem Franchise Boyz, and J-Kwon.
The night exemplified the legacy of So So Def, bringing together artists and fans for the purpose of enjoying music. It was a historical night and proof Jermaine Dupri's journey in the music business is far from over. He is working with newcomers Leah Labelle and Brandon Hines on their careers and extending the heritage of So So Def.
