K. Michelle is playing no games on the upcoming season of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta."
Plugging the recently released trailer for season two via Twitter, K. Michelle took a moment to address cast that have not really "come up" since season one.
"Just mind my business and some of these b—hes started from the bottom and they STILL THERE," K. Michelle wrote Tuesday (Playing on Drake's "Started From The Bottom… Now We're Here).
As previously reported, K. Michelle is back for what might be her last season, following a huge come up, landing not only a record deal, but a five album deal. That deal will kick off with the release of a debut album titled "Rebellious Soul."
While you might think that she's in good spirits, happy to be recording her debut album, K. Michelle is speaking the truth and hitting people with flower boquets this season.
"Not one to bite her tongue or go down without a fight, her antics left her without a recording deal for a few years. Now, K. Michelle has risen from the ashes like a phoenix, and is embarking on a five album venture with Warner/Atlantic. With a big-time label once again behind her, will K. Michelle be able to both speak her truth and keep the peace?" asks VH1.
In addition to familiar faces seen last year, season two sees the addition of self-proclaimed power EX-couple, Traci Steele and BabyDrew, who both hold high profile gigs as DJs. Traci rocks prime-time on Atlanta's hottest hip-hop station, and BabyDrew tours the world with Chris Brown. Together they co-parent their son, Little Drew. Never married, these two can't live without each other – yet rarely do they see eye to eye. When they decide to pool their savings and open a designer sneaker boutique, the tension mounts. Is the promise of reward greater than the risks involved?
"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" returns Monday, April 22nd at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
It’s no secret that reality TV can be a cutthroat and often times vicious industry. K. Michelle, the R&B singer and former cast member of VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’, recently blasted some fellow cast members for their lack of ambition in her new song ‘Started From The Bottom and Still There’. She is calling out stars who have become complacent with fame or money rather than striving to reach greater heights in their careers.
In this article, we will explore what K. Michelle had to say about the state of Love & Hip Hop through her music as well as how fans are responding to her criticism of today’s culture among young celebrities. Her message has resonated with many of her followers who feel like there is too much emphasis on materialism instead of real accomplishments by those involved in the entertainment business.
What does K. Michelle want these stars to do? What other messages might she be sending? Read on to find out more about this hot topic!
K. Michelle’s Criticism Of ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Stars
K. Michelle, a former star of the VH1 reality show ‘Love & Hip Hop’, recently blasted her fellow castmates for not moving forward in their careers and getting stuck at the bottom. In an interview with Complex magazine, she said that staying on the same show can lead to “the illusion of money”, but eventually they will become complacent and realize they’re still at the bottom.
“It’s been five years since I started Love & Hip Hop,” K. Michelle said. “Some have stayed on it; some are still there.” She went on to criticize those who stay too long, saying that they could be out making more money elsewhere if only they would take a risk and move away from reality TV stardom. The singer-songwriter stressed the importance of taking risks, especially when you don’t feel like doing so: “If you don’t want to get uncomfortable, then you won’t make any changes,” she warned.
Ultimately, K. Michelle believes that success comes down to hard work and dedication – something which many of her ‘Love & Hip Hop’ co-stars appear to lack: “You have to put your pride aside and just grind until you reach the top; no one is going to hand it to you.” With these words, she reminded us all that real success requires effort – nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
Response From Cast Members
K. Michelle’s comments have not gone unnoticed, with many of her former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ co-stars speaking out in response. Several cast members argued that the show has helped to build their profile and open doors for them as they pursue other ventures such as music, acting or business opportunities.
Others defended their decision to remain on the show by pointing out that everyone is at different stages of their careers and just because someone has been on the show for a long time doesn’t mean it should be held against them. Castmember Safaree Samuels tweeted his thoughts, saying: “We all started from somewhere … People tend to forget we come in this world with NOTHING!!” He went on to suggest that staying on reality TV can actually help some people pay off loans or debts faster than if they were working regular jobs.
It seems K. Michelle’s words have sparked an important conversation about success and how it looks different for each person. While she may encourage taking risks and hard work, others are quick to remind us that success isn’t always linear – what matters most is finding your own path and making sure you’re happy along the way.
Conclusion
In conclusion, K. Michelle’s criticism of ‘Love & Hip Hop’ stars has been met with a variety of responses. Some cast members responded positively to the comments, while others felt they were being unfairly judged. Regardless of how people feel about her opinion, it’s clear that K. Michelle was trying to make an important point – that some individuals have become stuck in their roles on reality TV and are unable to move forward and take control of their lives.
For those who accept this message and strive to be better than what society has labeled them as, there is hope for change. It requires hard work and dedication but anything is possible if you put your mind to it. As K. Michelle said herself “started from the bottom and still there” – if you’re willing to fight for something greater than yourself then success can be yours!
Ultimately, it’s up to each individual person whether or not they choose to rise above the status quo and create a brighter future for themselves. With determination and perseverance anyone can achieve greatness no matter where they start from – all it takes is belief in oneself and a willingness to never give up!
