It looks like Miguel well be much more outspoken on this go round.
Following his recent release, which saw him calling out haters on the Travis Scott-assisted “Sky Walker,” the R&B crooner returns with more aggressive lyrics on “Shockandawe.”
“United Nations keep watchin’ / I’ll play the hero,” Miguel rap sings on the politically-charged song backed by a boombastic, psychedelic track. “Media keep talkin’, but who want to stop me?”
He later adds on the chorus: “Bang bang, baby, break yourself / Lose control when I take the world / I dropped the bomb / Did I take your bomb / Just shock and awe / Better brace yourself.”
Miguel is currently in the studio working on his fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2015’s Wildheart.
“Right now, [I’m] just wrapping up a project,” Miguel stated in July while appearing on Snoop’s GGN show. “I feel like I’ve been creating three projects simultaneously. So the one that’s the most complete is kind of what I’m wrapping up now.”
