From their third studio album The 11th Sky, New Zealand collective Electric Wire Hustle drop the video for “I Light A Candle.”
The alternative soul song is a standout from the album (which you can stream HERE), the addictive strings and the interpolation of Stevie Wonder’s “All I Do” will have you hooked.
“This track is based on ideas from Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World, and is about a blue-collar girl grinding it out in the city,” the caption states. “It features string arrangements from Maahuia B-C which soar over 808s, steel string guitar and the lead vocalist Mara’s social commentary.”
The video features a crew of young women hip-hop dancers (Samara Reweti, Anna Robinson, Esther Lau Young, Molly, Mia and Louise).
