Jhene Aiko is collaborating with Ford Motor Company for their campaign Ford Culture Collabs, which kicked off in November with an audiovisual collaboration of mural installations in Detroit, Venice Beach and San Francisco. Iconic music producer Alchemist, artistic crew The Seventh Letter, DJ Va$htie Kola, and Aiko performed at the installation in Venice Beach in November.
Now, Ford Culture Collabs has extended beyond the mural installations with video content to capture with the musicians. Ford is taking you inside the studio to see what “drives” these musicians to create music that moves people.
As for Aiko, she says every day life drives her art. “I’m inspired by life, I’m inspired by my emotions,” Aiko says in the clip below, which also includes footage from her Venice Beach performance.
“Culture Collabs” is an extension of Ford’s “By Design” ad campaign that debuted in October 2015, spotlighting the latest lineup of Ford vehicles. The campaign aligns with the new overall brand expression – energy and cultural relevance.
