Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston
Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston were two peas in a pod. Brown and Houston were viewed as a “match from hell,” but for 15 years, the singers were able to keep it together. Brown, the bad boy of R&B, was viewed as a singer who corrupted Houston and influenced her to partake in drugs and behave irrationally. Drug abuse and infidelity affected their relationship a great deal, which ultimately led to their divorce in 2007. Fans were disappointed because behind the substance abuse, Whitney and Bobby really loved each other. Houston talked about her marriage to Brown on Oprah and said, “He was my drug.” For the next five years, Houston and Brown proceeded with their music careers. Unfortunately, Houston died in February 2012.
