On the album, Cox told Singersroom, "There's like a nice cross-section of songs that talk about relationships, self-love, positivity, and this really is where I am right now in my life."
She adds, "It's different from my debut album or even the One Wish album; this one really infuses what's happening today in music, and also reaches back to my roots as a soul singer."
